Volunteer Responders Wanted throughout Cambridgeshire
Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Rob Payne and I am the Scheme Co-ordinator for the new Community First Responder Scheme in Cambridgeshire.
MAGPAS (Mid Anglia General Practitioner Accident Service) has been providing Emergency Support to the Ambulance Service at any type of incident since 1971 and this year we are launching the First Responder Scheme throughout Cambridgeshire and we urgently need your help.
All first responders will be trained in first aid and in the use of specialised heart monitoring equipment (Defibrillator) to shock a heart in the event of a Cardiac Arrest. Each team member on call would attend an incident after being activated via the ambulance service control room and would be trained and equipped with a first Aid Kit, Oxygen, Defibrillator, Two Way Radio, Mobile Phone / Bleep etc.
This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in your own community and to provide vital time to a casualty, often saving a life, until the ambulance arrives. The Community First Responder Scheme is designed to compliment and work alongside the Emergency Ambulance Service and will NOT replace services delivered by the Ambulance Service.

Cambridgeshire County Council Fostering & Adoption Service is looking for people who could train to become specialist foster carers.Some of the children in our care can exihibit challenging behaviors,learning difficulties,mental health problems or physical disabilities.These children need carers who have skills to help them develop and make the most of their lives.
No specific qualifications are required, but you will need child-care experience, either through parenting or work experience.
It doesn't matter if you are married or single,if you are working, unemployed or retired, if you own your home or rent.
You will receive:
.Between £237 - £258 per child per week.
.Additional fundings for birthdays, Christmas,holidays etc.

.24 hour support
