in Buckinghamshire Welcome to Fake It Nail Academy Fake it!, is based in a small village called Chalfont St Peter, and I have been in the Nail Industry for over 20 years. As an extremely bad nail bitter, I was ashamed of my hands and had my first set of nail enhancements put on at the age of seventeen. I think this was my first love. My interest grew with my nails and I became a nail addict. At the age of nineteen I was a qualified chef, but nails was my passion. whilst pregnant I embarked on my first nail course. Well boy, did I find it difficult, it is not as easy as it looks, it takes time, a lot of patience and dedication, so if you want to be a nail technician, you need to be prepared to put in a lot of hours practising because practise makes it perfect. There is no way you can cut corners or think "that will do", because it will not. All my courses are aimed to help you and try to prevent you from suffering the pit falls I had. Having someone you can turn to for help and advice is our main priority. Many courses just run for the set days then you are out on your own. At Fake it we nurture you and do not mind giving you all the help and advise that is needed. My advise is that you should learn to walk before you run, get your basic Manicure and Pedicure qualifications, learn the structure of the hands and feet before embarking on a Nail Enhancement course. It will give you good sound knowledge and confidence about what you are doing. The rest will then come easy with practise and getting the right ratio, so you can use any system that suits you and your client. My workshops are intended to give you the knowledge and expertise to become a professional nail technician, so you are able to sit your NVQ exams at your own pace to match the national standards that are being introduced around the UK.
