GT Hodgson & Son was established in 1953. The premises were built by George Thomas Hodgson and the garage carried out repairs and services to all makes of vehicles and at that time supplied petrol.

The ethos of the company was and still is to provide professional customer service on a personal level. This has resulted in many loyal customers.

George's son Victor Hodgson took over the business in 1975 when George retired. Victor has continued to invest in the future of the business, which includes the purchase of modern diagnostics and airconditioning equipment and providing relevant training for staff to ensure they are equipped to deal with evolving technology in the modern day car.

In 2010 the business prides itself on providing a good professional service that is value for money. It is still a a family business with Victor's daughter Jayne now managing the business with the same belief that the honesty and reputation of the business remains paramount. Jayne commented in a recent interview "having been in business for 50 years we have a clear understanding of our market, suppliers and customer requirements and work hard to achieve these on a daily basis".

The garage provides servicing and repairs to all makes of vehicles and MOT's while you wait 7 days a week.
