Our two fabulous ground floor cottages with facilities for disabled guests.

Good walking on old green roads last used by the pack-horse ponies as they carried lead from dale to dale, which gives the cyclist or walker the opportunity to explore the open countryside.

It is an excellent area for cycling, and near to the C to C and many other cycling routes. For the motorist, leisurely, quiet roads verged by beautiful flora and fauna lead to traditional stone-clad rural villages. Nearer to home, our own Japanese garden provides a welcome place to relax during your holiday.

Jan has been awarded the AA Pie award 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005.2006.2007 & 2008 for the superb evening meals which she offers her guests. Most of our food is organic when possible, local and off the farm. Everything is homecooked. Jan has completed a certificate of professional cookery course at a catering college.

Now is the ideal time to come and stay to sample the delicious food at Cornriggs.

Low Cornriggs Farm has won two Green Tourism Awards from the North Pennines Tourism Partnership, which are awarded to an enterprise which makes a "positive contribution to tourism and the environment in the North Pennines". We are part of the Green Buissness Scheem 2006 we are
trying to do our bit to help with the envirnment.

Jan & Harry's restoration of the meadows and pastures around the farm, as well as the pond and tree plantation which Harry has created, encourages local wildlife to thrive in this Area of Outstanding National Beauty.

In addition to this, Jan has also won a special Pride of Northumbria award for Tourism and the Environment, which recognises the continued work being done on the Farm to provide habitats for native wildlife, and for restoring the original dry stone walls around the Farm.
