Welcome to Low Cornriggs Farm Cowshill
Low Cornriggs is a traditional working hill farm, parts of which date back over 200 years. It is registered with Natural England as a site of Special Scientific Interest {SSSI} for its rare fauna and flora. Being one of the ten best sites in the North of England with Natural England. We are also part of the Green Business Scheme with the environment and dedicated to cutting our carbon footprint. The Farm has been sympathetically restored over a period of nearly twenty years, seated on the edge of the beautiful village of Cowshill. Not quite off the beaten track the farm stands at around 1200 high in the unspoilt meadows and upper moorlands of the North Pennines. This is and ideal base from which to enjoy walking, cycling and bird-watching. Enjoy the wide open spaces, rich in wild flowers in an area that is a Geo park based on the wealth of its minerals and their diversity. When you're ready to come indoors, Cornriggs Farm is well known for it's good food so why not sit down to a home cooked meal? All of these factors make for a highly relaxing and pleasurable visit. ![]() |
