Welcome to the website of Ramsey Rural Museum. We are an independent Museum situated in Huntingdonshire, which is staffed, run and managed entirely by Volunteers.

The Museum is closed at present but will re-open for the 2010 season in April 2010. For further details please click opening times

The museum is housed in 17th century farm buildings and is set in open countryside on the edge of a friendly market town. So why not step back in time and find out how life was lived in small fenland community.

Find out how your medicines would be prepared in our shop and how your shoes would be repaired in our cobblers shop.

How would you have managed in the war? Would you have liked to wear a gas mask?

Step inside some Victorian Rooms and find out how mothers would have managed without running water or electricity.

What sort of job would your father have had?

Perhaps he would have worked on a farm, cut peat or dug ditches. Would he have been a blacksmith or a thatcher?
