Pine Tree Caravans. We had a website built for us a couple of years ago but are no longer in touch with the company who designed it. Apart from putting our web address on our company literature, we didn't really promote it. We do generate some interest purely through the site but we're now in a position where we can't update it, nor do we have a secure customer orders page so we can't confidently take credit card details from customers.

What we really want is to have more control so that we can update our product range ourselves and include photos of our different models. We do quite a bit of advertising, nationally, and virtually all of our business is from the UK. Our products are quite high profile and we think we should be able to broaden our target customer base considerably. It makes sense to start promoting our business more, on the Internet, to draw business from further afield. It makes sense to put ourselves in a better position to do more credit card transactions, through the website.

They would like a website which will present their business image, have a list of their products with descriptions and photographs, which they can easily add to and remove, and be able to take e-mail enquiries and orders from their customers, including credit card details. They're happy to do some of the work themselves building the pages, especially the product pages – they've got over 75 different models – once two or three of their staff have had some on-site training. They would prefer to have someone to call on for help and advice when needed, particularly with some of the more technical things like getting their company logo and the photographs onto the pages. They also see little point in having a website that nobody can find, so they want it properly marketed – their customers could come from just about anywhere.

Our Recommendation. Our full support package starts from £499, dependent on our own level of time involvement which is by negotiation. There is a monthly cost of £36.95 (£7 for web hosting and £29.95 for search engine marketing and promotion). The package includes:

• 60 days support with the design and construction of your website, by negotiation. This is by telephone, e-mail and also remotely by us from our office.



• We have no binding contracts. Cancellation of the monthly hosting and promotion service is by one month's notice in writing to Britnett.
