My recent work looks at the land its constant changes. The shadows of marks made by man in the earth and reflections in water and flooded fields. My training is in Fine Art and I work between two disciplines, painting and mixed media textiles, The stitched mark becomes a line ‘of drawing’, dye becomes my paint. The use of stitch is imperative to how the work holds together.
I work to commission as well as exhibit and have works placed in hospitals, libraries, museums and even Schroder’s Bank. I also have work in collections including the Arts Council England South East collection at Hove Museum and Art Gallery, Quilt und Art Gallery in Frankfurt and more recently a work purchased by the American Museum of Art and Design in New York.
I enjoy working in collaboration with others including work in schools, hospitals, museums and libraries.
